For job seekers
- What does virtres cost for job seekers?
- Nothing. Posting a profile is always free for job seekers — no fees, ever. That includes the AI assistants.
- What should I say in my video?
- Aim for 30–60 seconds: your name, where you are, your experience in a sentence or two, the specific skills you're proud of, and what you're looking for. Say your skills out loud by name — “five years of formwork,” not just “construction” — because employers can search profiles by what candidates actually say in their videos.
- Who can see my email and phone number?
- Only registered employers whose email address has been verified. Your contact details live in a separate, locked part of the system — they are never shown publicly, never appear on your profile page, never sold, and other job seekers can't see them. Publicly you're listed by first name and last initial only — your full name reaches an employer only when they unlock your contact details. Your role, location, video, and summary are what the public sees.
- How do the free AI assistants help?
- Three ways while you post your profile: the AI Resume Assistant polishes your written profile so your experience reads clearly, the AI Video Review Assistant reviews your video — pace, clarity, strong points, and fixes — before employers see it, and the AI Resume Review reads your uploaded resume PDF and scores the document itself — structure, impact, and what's missing. They only work with what you give them; they never invent experience or credentials.
- Do I have to share my phone number?
- No. An email address is enough to post your profile. Adding a phone number is your choice — it simply gives verified employers a second way to reach you.
- Can I post now and go live later?
- Yes. Tick “Keep my profile hidden for now” when you post, review everything privately, and flip it live from Edit profile whenever you're ready. You can hide it again just as easily.
- Can I take my profile down or delete my account?
- Any time. On Edit profile you can hide your profile with one checkbox or delete the profile entirely (your account stays). From “My account” you can also delete your whole account — profile, video, resume file, and login are removed.
- What makes a video get watched?
- Good light on your face, a quiet room, your phone steady at eye level, and specific skills said out loud. Watch the samples page for a strong example — and one famous example of what not to do.
For employers
- What does virtres cost for employers?
- Employers are free during launch — browse, AI search, shortlists, and full contact details cost nothing right now. If that ever changes once the directory is larger, existing registered employers will hear it from us first, directly.
- Why do I need a verified email to see contact details?
- To protect candidates. Anyone can browse profiles, but a candidate's email, phone number, and resume are only released to an employer account whose email has been verified. It's a deliberate trade: one minute of setup for you, real protection for them.
- How does AI search work?
- Describe who you need in plain words — “a high-energy construction worker with formwork experience near Calgary” — and the AI matches it against candidates' profiles and what they actually said in their videos. Every result comes with a “why this match” line based only on the candidate's own facts. It never invents qualifications.
- What is the shortlist?
- Your private saved list. Tap “Save to shortlist” on any candidate card while browsing or searching, and find them all later under My account → My shortlist. Only you can see it.
- Can I post jobs on virtres?
- Not at the moment — virtres is a talent directory, not a job board. You search and contact candidates directly. Job listings may come later; the directory comes first.
